ABOUT THE CHALLANGE

Our challenge offers many opportunities, including:

  • A hands-on, applied learning experience to local high school aged students using technology to solve a scientific question;
  • Exposing students to elements of ocean health and possible technology solutions for ocean science and conservation;
  • Encouraging pursuit of STEM education and related post-collegiate career through exposure to and awareness of marine technology, and how it is being used to solve our worlds ocean’s problems;
  • Solving some of our own engineering challenges with new perspectives and approaches.
