NOAA EXPRESS – OREGON TO CALIFORNIA CORAL EXPEDITION

MARE joined  National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA), United States Geologic Society, and the Bureau of Ocean Energy Management  on  NOAA EXPRESS, a month long  research  expedition from  Newport, Oregon to San Diego, California. The expedition focused on assessing west coast habitats as a part of the West Coast Initiative on Deep Sea Coral and Sponges. The survey focused on areas within Essential Fish Habitats.  Our ROV Beagle made 37 dives in 18 study areas during this expedition.
