Our Technology

ROBOTIC SURVEY FLEET

We design, build and repair underwater vehicles. Our monitoring tools can be used to collect detailed information on deep subtidal ecosystems and are equipped with an array of cameras, including stereo video, and monitoring probes such as temperature, oxygen and salinity sensors. Additionally, our vehicles can be equipped with manipulating arms and collection trays to assist in the recovery or collection of samples.

Our Technology 1

ROV BEAGLE

The ROV Beagle was built to gather marine habitat and biological information from a ship of opportunity. The Beagle is used for image, sample and data collection in the ocean environment at depths of 15 m to 1,000 m.

Our Technology 2

BATFish

The BATFish is a hydrodynamic tow-sled that provides an economical broad-area visual survey. It has 2 cameras, lights, multi-beam sonar, altimeters and recorders and weighs just 130 lbs.

Our Technology 3

FROGFish

The Fixed-Rig Optical GroundFish or FROGFish is a battery-operated drop camera system weighing less than 10lbs in the water. It can be positioned using an ROV and is equipped with one camera to take 4K video or time-lapsed images in a fixed location over time for up to 14 hours.

Our Technology 4

ROV MANTIS

The ROV Mantis is a compact, mini ROV which excels at a surprising range of inspection and scientific missions. Based on a modified BlueROV2 from Blue Robotics, in the heavy configuration, ROV Mantis employs 8 thrusters for six-degrees of freedom control and stability.

Our Technology 5

ROV STINGRAY

The ROV Stingray is a compact, Deep Trekker ROV. The Stingray excels at range of inspection and scientific missions. It employs vectored thrusters, an HD camera and is armed with a compact gripper, to perform modest recovery or sampling missions. With ROV power provided via its umbilical, the ROV Stingray can operate without interruption at depths of up to 300 meters

Our Technology 6

ROV MOJAVE

The Mojave is a powerful, compact ROV ideal for a variety of missions. It is equipped with a five-function manipulator arm, sonars and HD cameras.

Our Technology 7

ROV HAMMERHEAD

The ROV Hammerhead is a fully retrofitted Phantom-class ROV that has been customized to gather marine habitat and biological information for monitoring purposes. The ROV is used for imaging and data collection in the offshore marine environment, at depths of 15 m to 300 m.
