R/V TOMCAT
The TomCat is MARE’s 38 foot aluminum catamaran providing a stable, highly maneuverable workboat from which to operate equipment in coastal waters and bays. As an efficient catamaran, the boat reaches 20 knots in flat water.
With a wide, the TomCat’s open deck (13 foot beam), swim platform and drafts just 3 feet – ideal for shallow water sampling as well as open ocean work.
THE TOMCAT IS OUTFITTED WITH:
- Radar
- Multifunction GPS
- Chart plotter display
- Davit and crab pot puller capable of lifting 80 lbs
- Fish hold for live samples, and required safety equipment
- 110VAC, 2kW is available from our clean inverter, or a generator can be added to power larger loads
- A full cabin and galley for sample and data analysis
